Women’s Golf at East Devon

Join us for friendly, fun women’s golf in Devon.

Women have been playing golf at East Devon Golf Club ever since it opened in 1902 and the section remains an integral and active part of the Club.

The section has reserved tee times on Tuesday mornings, when we offer qualifying and non-qualifying competitions on differing course lengths and over 9 or 18 holes.  Mixed stableford competitions are also played on Wednesdays and Sundays through the main golfing season.

New members can sign up to our “buddy“ system which is designed to help them make new friends and navigate the Club systems.

Our ladies are a competitive crowd and, over the years, have enjoyed success in Devon’s County Championships, Still Cup, Sheelah Creasy Bowl and the Doris Willes-Little.

If you are new to golf we hold fun taster sessions, and if you enjoy hitting the ball you can join our Academy run by our PGA Professionals to learn more with other new golfers.

But it is not just about the golf, socialising is an important part of Club life and we hold fun and social events through the year including fundraising events for our Captains’ Charity.

Women’s Golf at East Devon

We are delighted to announce that the R&A and England Golf have awarded East Devon Golf Club ‘Women In Golf Charter’ status.

Through our charter of commitments, we will encourage more women and girls to take up our great, fun sport over the next few years, and ensure our current members continue to enjoy all the benefits golf brings.

We are passionate about every one of our commitments which you can find in this document: EDGC Women in Golf Charter
