If you want to play golf in Devon then East Devon Golf Club is the place to be.
Less than 20 minutes from the M5 motorway at Exeter, East Devon Golf Club strives to offer the highest quality in both golf and hospitality.
Situated on the cliffs above Budleigh Salterton the course is one of the stars on the south Devon coast and one of the best golf courses in Devon.
The Club is an England Golf Championship venue having hosted the 2012 Ladies County Finals, the 2017 English Club Championship and the 2018 English Girls Open Championship.
Established in 1902 and designed by Harry Colt in the 1920’s, our championship heathland course is blessed with excellent drainage and can be enjoyed all year round.
The course offers a true test of golf. The rolling terrain and natural slopes shape every hole, demanding thoughtful shot-making and precise club selection. Every elevation change adds character and challenge, culminating in the iconic 16th tee—described by Peter Alliss as “The best view in golf.”
It has been described by National Club Golfer as “a southern gem” and “one of the best conditioned courses we have played across England’s south”, and deservedly ranks in the Top 100 golf courses in England.
