If you want to play golf in Devon, East Devon Golf Club is the place to be.
Set just 30 minutes drive from the Devon’s county town of Exeter, East Devon Golf Club strives to offer the highest quality in both golf and hospitality.
Situated on the cliffs above Budleigh Salterton the course is one of the stars on the south Devon coast and one of the best golf courses in Devon.
The Club is an England Golf Championship venue, hosting the 2012 Ladies County Finals, the 2017 English Club Championship and the 2018 English Girls Open Championship.
Established in 1902 and designed by Harry Colt, our championship heathland course is blessed with excellent drainage and can be enjoyed all year round.
While not a long course, 6279 yards from the longest tees, the course is hilly and weaves its way through gorse and heather and has many memorable holes, including the 16th tee shot which Peter Alliss described as “The best view in golf”.
It has been described by National Club Golfer as “a southern gem” and “one of the best conditioned courses we have played across England’s south”, and deservedly ranks in the Top 100 golf courses in England.
