At its longest the course measures 6297 yards, however with several tees rated for both men and ladies, East Devon offers a challenging and enjoyable round for all golfers. The Club is an England Golf Championship venue, hosting the 2012 Ladies County Finals, the 2017 English Club Championship and the 2018 English Girls Open Championship.

In 2020 the Club, together with Clinton Devon Estates, began a programme of renovation to restore the heathland environment Harry Colt would have seen.
