Hole Description

The back nine begins with a picturesque par 3 that the renowned international golf artist Graeme Baxter said was one of the best par 3s he has ever played. It has a three-tier green, bunkered front, left, and right. Finding the wrong tier can very easily result in a dreaded 3-putt (or worse!) so good club selection is important. As a rule of thumb, this hole tends to play slightly longer than the yardage, though wind direction and the level on which the hole is cut are by far the largest factors in club selection here. Please show due consideration to anyone playing from the 11th tee which quite often collects wayward shots from the 10th. Players must wait for the 11th tee to clear before playing to this green unless waved to play on by the group in front. The new championship tee stretches the hole to 164 yards.
